Home & School Association

Walking Outside

Encouraging family participation is an important part of the St. Peter School philosophy. Your children love to see their loved ones involved in school activities, and the Home & School always needs volunteers. However, we know that the time commitment is sometimes difficult to manage. We offer many ways for you to help.

The St. Peter Home & School Association promotes communications between parents and teachers. All parents and faculty are members. Meetings are held several times a year and are open to all parents.

The Purpose of Home & School:

  • promote the welfare of the children
  • bring the families into more frequent contact with the school in order to promote understanding and support of its educational mission
  • develop a sense of community and commitment through participation in common spirit and fund-raising projects.
  • raise funds for the needs of the school
  • provide programs in keeping with the purpose of the organization

Parent Volunteer Program

There are many opportunities for parents to become involved in activities at St. Peter School. All regular volunteers must complete a child abuse form, be fingerprinted, and attend an in-service according to the policy of the Diocese of Youngstown. Parents assist the teachers in the following capacities:

  • Cafeteria Aides
  • Field Trip Supervisors
  • Playground Supervisors
  • Scout Leaders
  • Committee members
  • LatchKey aid

If you are interested in volunteering for any of the fundraising events or progams, please contact the school office at 330-452-0125.
